Welcome to the official homepage of Hike4Kids!
On February 25th, 2012, Michael McLaughlin began a historic journey that would see him hike 2,500 miles through the mountains in support of neglected and abused children. In so doing, he became the first person ever to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail and Ozark Trail back-to-back. More importantly, Michael raised almost $15,000 for charity, raised awareness in the struggle to end the mistreatment of children, and inspired many to believe that anything is possible with the right measure of courage and determination. In a world where many children face an uncertain future, Hike4Kids serves as a beacon of hope that those children might go on to lead extraordinary lives in spite of the dire circumstances they currently face.
In the spring of 2013, we will be hosting our first annual Hike4Kids community hike at Castlewood State Park near St. Louis, Missouri. Please join us as we hike in support of children locally and around the world.
Right now, there is a child who is being abused, neglected, and cast aside. Will you stand up and be that child's hero?
